Rahul Young

Rahul Young is a Principal in ICF International’s San Francisco office, and a LEED Accredited Professional. He currently manages the office’s private-sector sustainability strategy practice and leads projects in building energy efficiency , employee engagement, carbon offsets and renewable energy.  Mr. Young has over ten years of experience in corporate strategy, green building, residential development, green building policy design, energy efficiency program design, and government administration.  His recent clients include Google, Yahoo!, eBay, Time Warner, Intuit, Salesforce, Time Warner, Warner Bros. and Disney.  Mr. Young previously served as the City of Berkeley, CA’s Green Building Coordinator, designing and implementing the City’s LEED Green Building Ordinance, overseeing the greening of municipal and private-sector developments, and directing green building education and outreach events.  Mr. Young co-founded and chaired the Bay Area Build-It-Green Public Agency Council, an organization dedicated to bringing Northern Californian local governments together to work collaboratively to develop green building throughout the state.  He also worked at WorldBuild, Inc. and helped to managed the greening of over a dozen building projects, including the City of Santa Monica’s Public Safety Facility, the State of California’s East End Complex and the Headquarters of the California Environmental Protection Agency.  Mr. Young has served on the Board of Directors for the Sacramento chapter of Habitat for Humanity International.
